
What will I be learning?
In the class you will be learning a mixture of the art form, self-defence, and sport Taekwondo. These are not separate but interlock and support each other. Without good basic technique learnt as part of the art form, you can not have fast techniques for the sparring aspect when doing sport, which makes you react faster in self defence.

Sprint Your Way To Weight Loss
Tired of struggling to lose weight even though you are spending hours on the treadmill? If so, this workout is for you. Give this workout eight weeks, and you will lose more weight than you ever did riding a stationary bike. Better yet, you will never have to exercise for more than 10 minutes at a time.
Instead of long, slow aerobic exercise, high intensity speed endurance training. Speed Endurance training is superior for fat loss, because it causes your body to burn more calories for several hours after each workout. Aerobic exercise’s benefits cease shortly after each workout.
Speed Endurance workouts can be performed a number of ways. You can use sprint running outside or when training in the dojang, you can work for 4 sets of 30-40 secs @ 90% intensity or 4 sets of 6 x 6 secs work @ 90% intensity with 4 secs rest.
Each exercise performed in a workout needs to be done as hard as possible. If you are just starting to exercise or are coming back from an extended layoff, begin the first couple of workouts at a moderate intensity level, increasing with each workout. You don’t want to push too hard and end up injuring yourself.
Active rest between each set is 60-90 secs means that you either slowly jog, or walk, to recovery before the next set.
